OMG I APPROVE
So I’ve been practicing my drawing skillssss and started sketching the way I did in my Graphic Design class….and seriously…..it works SOOO much better. I thought the steps were kind of stupid and pointless at first but finding the shapes is helping a LOT. Granted, I AM using this as a reference, and I usually try to avoid references, but if it’s going to help me learn to 1) draw fanart and 2) eventually become better at drawing my own characters consistently, I think it’s worth it. It doesn’t even take THAT much more time, and already, my Bolin sketch is looking MUCH better than ANY of the ones I’ve done before.
So yeah. I’m getting excited. :D

I’ve been trying to process the last episode since it aired and I still can’t put into words why I have mixed emotions. After fwips’ comic though, I have raging Bolin feels. I don’t think you understand how much I love this boy.
So, I will attempt to explain. You can feel free to ignore this. I’m very tired and this will probably be badly written so yeah.
Just all of THIS.
This is how I’m feeling about Bolin and how I have felt with his character and how he’s been pushed to the background and just everything.

I hate what they’re doing to Bolin.
Bolin would care just as much as Mako, would be just as worried, he wouldn’t hang around throwing jokes. I’m really just angry for Bolin, because he’s gotten the ultimate shaft in favor for Makorra.
And I’m not happy.

I’m trying to get Cleverbot to bring up Bolin. Regularly. Everything it says, I either connect it to Bolin or say, “What are you talking about? We’re supposed to be talking about Bolin!”
I think everyone should help me with this. COME ON, FANDOM. LET’S GET SHIZ DONE!!!

“The people bringing some their gender bias and hate into Korra piss me off. In episode 5, Bolin was frienzoned by Korra, and Korra was friendzoned by Mako. The fact that they were both friendzoned isn’t sexist. The fact that you’re trying to turn this into a gender war and say that Bolin was being a nice guy to Korra only for sex is. Bolin’s whole character fits “the nice guy”, not just his date with Korra. It’s like some fans can realize that nice, respectful guys actually exist.”
Forget all that stuff those people said, though—I looked at this and the first thing I saw was a big black box covering up Bolin, then Bolin, then OMG IT’S THE FEATHERED HAT GUY. SERIOUSLY. AGAIN?!

So I’ve decided I’m gonna practice drawing guys, because I keep trying new styles and then looking at them and going, “Oh man! I’m so proud of myself! It looks GREAT!” and then turning back two days later and asking myself (sobbing), “WHYYYY did I think that was good?!”
Anyway. Best way to learn to draw is imitation, right? And it’s not like I’m going to try and sell my stuff or anything. (HA!) Soooo…..imma go draw Bolin now. ^_^
Of course I would! Words cannot describe my love for Bolin. I just. Ugh.
Sorry, Mako. You may be pretty, but Bolin is my forever boy.
